1Task Agent ("1Task," "we," "our," or "us") is a task management service developed by Idea3.io. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use 1Task through Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft Teams, or other supported platforms.

By using 1Task, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

a. User Identity Information

When you sign in using Microsoft or Google authentication, we collect:

  • Name (display name)
  • Email address
  • User ID (object ID from your identity provider)
  • Tenant ID (organization identifier, if applicable)

We use this information to authenticate you and link your tasks to your account.

b. Task Data

We collect information you create and manage in the service, including:

  • Task titles and descriptions
  • Due dates and priority levels
  • Task status (for example, not started, in progress, or completed)
  • Timestamps (created and updated)

Depending on how you use 1Task, task content may include personal or business information.

c. Technical and Usage Data

We collect limited technical and usage data to operate, secure, and improve the service, such as:

  • Request timestamps
  • API performance metrics
  • Error logs (excluding sensitive personal data)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information only to operate, maintain, and improve 1Task, including to:

  • Authenticate users — verify your identity and secure access.
  • Deliver the service — enable task creation, updates, and retrieval.
  • Protect the service — prevent abuse and enforce rate limits.
  • Improve reliability — monitor performance and troubleshoot issues.

We do not:

  • Sell your personal data.
  • Use your data for advertising.
  • Share your data with other users or organizations, except as described in this policy.
  • Train AI models on your task content.

4. Data Storage and Security

Storage

We store your data in Microsoft Azure infrastructure (for example, Azure Cosmos DB).

Security Measures

We use industry-standard safeguards, including:

  • Encryption in transit (TLS 1.2 or higher)
  • Encryption at rest
  • OAuth 2.0 authentication via Microsoft Entra ID
  • Logical data isolation by user ID
  • HTTPS-only communication

Only you can access your task data through authenticated requests.

5. Data Sharing

We share data only in the limited situations described below.

Service Providers

We use the following infrastructure providers to host and operate 1Task:

  • Microsoft Azure (hosting, storage, monitoring)

These providers process data only to provide the service on our behalf.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required to do so by law, regulation, or legal process.

Business Transfers

If Idea3.io is involved in a merger, acquisition, or similar transaction, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction, with appropriate notice where required.

6. Data Retention

  • Active data — retained while your account is active.
  • Deleted tasks — removed permanently within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Account deletion — associated data deleted within 30 days.
  • Logs — retained for up to 90 days for diagnostics.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access your data
  • Correct or update your data
  • Delete your data
  • Export your data
  • Withdraw consent (for example, by uninstalling or disconnecting the service)

8. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate. By using 1Task, you consent to these transfers. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards through Microsoft Azure's compliance program.

1Task is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Data Breach Notification

If we become aware of a data breach affecting your information, we will:

  • Notify affected users promptly.
  • Comply with applicable legal requirements.
  • Provide information on mitigation steps, where appropriate.
